Mark is the current President of Siempre Tango (Adelaide). He began dancing Tango in 2000 and after 3 years he began taking lessons at Siempre Tango under the tutelage of the school’s founder, Carlo Sansour.

Carlo’s style, musicality and smooth panther-like movement impressed Mark greatly and became a major inspiration to his dancing. Mark has also undertaken classes and private lessons with many teachers both in Australia and on his trips to Argentina. He continues to be inspired by these teacher/dancers and also his dance partners and the music.

While he finds it difficult to narrow down his favorite music to dance to, he gets itchy feet when he hears Canaro, Di Sarli, D’Arienzo, Biagi, D’Agostino and D’Angelis and some later orchestras.

Mark commenced teaching late 2004 under the watchful eye of Carlo Sansour and continues to enjoy not only teaching the students of Siempre Tango, but also learning from them. He likes to encourage creativity, musicality, circularity, naturalness with good posture and balance all with a beautiful embrace.
