The 2020 Hobart Winter Tango Festival will be held from 4th June – 8th June at the Waterside Pavilion in Mawson Place, Hobart.
We have an exciting 5 days of tango events planned for you over the June long weekend – including 3 evening milongas dancing from 8pm until midnight on Hobart’s picturesque waterfront.
2020 Hobart Winter Tango Festival CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Thursday 4th June We have a ‘pre-festival’ event when our club invites members and guests to attend a tango workshop run by Renee Fieck & Doni Mac (our resident 2020 festival teachers).
Friday 5th June – The festival begins in earnest with our 8pm milonga.
Saturday 6th June 8pm – midnight: our main event – the Gala Milonga.
Sunday 7th June 8pm – midnight: our final Milonga.
Each evening milonga will have special guest DJs from interstate & beyond. Names and details to be confirmed closer to the festival.
Monday 8th June 11am – 1pm: Wrap up milonga . Drop in before your flight leaves to share a farewell moment together at the Waterside Pavilion – this time in the daylight!

We are delighted to have Renee Fieck & Doni Mac from Tango Melbourne, are returning to Hobart to join us as our resident teachers for the 2020 Hobart Winter Tango Festival. For private lessons during the festival with either Renee, Doni or both ,please contact Renee direct on 0411083501
Private lesson charges: 1 hour $125. For 2 or more hours $100 per hour.
If booking both teachers for your private, there is an additional $50.
