On Tuesday, 3 March, Tas Tango Club will start new series of Tuesday night classes and practilongas at our new venue, the Sandy Bay Sailing Club. Nestled in Long Beach Reserve it is a perfect location to quietly welcome autumn with beautiful tangos. The venue is situated upstairs overlooking the Derwent, which will give us beautiful water views in twilight and in the dark of the night.
Tango Tuesday: A new block of 6 classes (from 3 March to 7 April)
Venue: Sandy Bay Sailing Club, Long Point Road, Lower Sandy Bay. From the centre of Hobart, follow Sandy Bay Road and turn left just before the shopping strip of Lower Sandy Bay. You will find carpark at the end of Long Point Road. Please walk along the river side of the building towards Hobart direction to locate the stairs to the upper deck.
6:30 pm to 7:30 pm: Intermediate Class delivered by Shan. This class is suitable for those who have been dancing tango for more than a year. Shan will instruct those wishing to acquire new skills and to brush up tango techniques.
7:30 pm to 8:30 pm: Beginners Standard Class delivered by Juana. This class is suitable for those who are completely new to tango and those wishing to consolidate fundamental tango techniques.
8:30 pm to 10:30 pm Practilonga. Stay and practice your tango skills and have lots of fun dancing beautiful Argentine Tango in a friendly, supportive atmosphere!
Cost: $15 for the night.
