A small crowd of Hobart dancers enjoyed a Christmas-themed milonga Tuesday night. The music playlist included:
- Brindis para Navidad (Orquesta de Osmar Maderna con Adolfo Rivas)
- El vals de la nochebuena (Orquesta de Alfredo De Angelis con Carlos Dante)
- Navidad (Orquesta de Francisco Canaro)
- Feliz Navidad (Orquesta de Juan D’Arienzo con Jorge Valdez)
The cortinas were from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker. The duration of milonga was two hours as usual time slot for Tuesday allowed. It was a mini milonga and people still felt like dancing after “La cumparsita”. So, they danced to “Navidad” (Orquesta de Osvaldo Pugliese con Jorge Maciel), which was played earlier that night as pre-milonga BGM.
This Christmas milonga was the last club event for the year. In the New Year we will be starting with the regular First Friday moved to the “Second Friday” on the 8th of January 2021. For details, please, keep an eye on web and Facebook announcements, SMS and email messages.
